Competition is everywhere. It's even there for animals and plants. Competition for food and water, for space and habitat, and for mates. Competition is there for even the simplest of life forms.
So what are we humans, in competition for? Or at what age does competition become something we engage in?
Well, competition is introduced to us from a young age. We play games with our siblings, friends and family. And we are encouraged to be the winner in that game or at least try your best (to win!) Therefore it's understandable that competition stays with us and grows bigger as we become competitive over bigger things. Perhaps competition is what gives us drive, whether it's between ourselves or being better than others. So if the aim is to win the game. Define the game. Is it to have a boyfriend/girlfriend before your friends? to get better grades? to be prettier or thinner than others? Is it to have a bigger house than your sister? A more 'successful' marriage than your parents? Or having better behaved children than your friends? Perhaps it that we are driven by competition, in whatever form.
Jealousy comes along with competition. Even if we try as hard as we can we just can't seem to be as popular or as bright as others, it can drive us mad. We can become severely jealous of said persons. Whether we let it out or keep it deep inside of us, we may all be in some form of competition.
In the end perhaps the hardest form of competition is the one with yourself. Because even if you win, you still had to lose.

He Could Be 'The One'
'The One' a common saying mainly used by girls. But what I'm talking about today is that special character. The one that shames all other males in existence. You read the book or watch the film and you just can't help but to fall absolutely, head over heels in love with him.
Trying to find 'The One' after falling in love with such a character can be tricky. He's everything a girl is looking for and unfortunately you may end up comparing this character with other males, which is a bad idea. this character is (regrettably) fictional. He came from a girl's imagination. Of course he's perfect! He is 'The One'! She created him to be. He's soft and kind and he's protective and most of all, he loves her.
This is why the Twilight series is so dangerous. The characters' in this are so perfect and lovable that there is no human comparison. The way they love her is mad, she is so imperfect. But that in itself makes them all the more attractive, the fact that they will take her in spite of her faults.
This is the kind everyone is looking for. Which is why it can be nice to bury your head in a book and fall in love.
But just remember to get back to reality once in a while..
3 X's - walk away running.

Life and Death
Isn't it interesting how death can make us think of life?
Well maybe not as I suppose both are closely linked.
It is much more inspiring to hear of death if the person had lived a long and purposeful life. It made me think of how much I myself wanted to achieve.
I'm 16, so hopefully I have a lot of years left. But I don't want to waste a day. I want to make each day count for something. I want to jump out of bed everyday and be glad for what this day could bring.
Of course it does depend on what you want to get out of life. If all you're looking for is a bit of fun and laughs then fine. But wouldn't it be nice if after you're gone people remember you for much more than just a few jokes. If you could really be remembered for something great.
I'm not sure exactly what I'd like to achieve. I guess I could start small for now.. Just continue to learn and grow and most importantly (in my opinion) create.
